 Mortgage lenders often require water quality testing for properties with private wells and most will accept a home inspector as an independent tester. General results are usually available within 48 hours, although tests for certain minerals and other contaminants may require lab analysis and take longer. 

 Repair or replacement of your homes septic system can be very expensive. In fact, it may be the most expensive system in the home that is not designed to last the life of the home. Everyone who is purchasing a home should have the septic system evaluated by a qualified professional 

 We inspect the physical equipment including the well location, well head, pressure tank,  pump, wiring, and pressure switch. If the water flow appears weak, we can time the well to determine the pumping rate. The minimum acceptable pumping rate as defined by FHA is 3 gpm. A low pumping rate indicates a problem with the equipment or the availability of ground water. 

 Our testing of lead paint is simply a swab test that will detect the presence of lead. It does not detect the amount of lead or on what layer of paint the lead is present. Lab analysis would be required for these more precise measurements.
